This week, Driscoll’s is sponsoring a contest with the Culinary Content Network called “Raspberries for Dessert.” In case you live under a rock or simply somewhere that doesn’t get Driscoll’s berries, they supply markets with the most plump and sweet berries. But for the sake of the contest, let’s just focus on raspberries.
I wanted to make a truly great chocolate cheesecake crust. I mean one that knocks the socks off all bakers, not just gluten-free ones. Crushed Oreos or gluten-free Teddy Grahams were not good enough as far as I was concerned. If you read this blog regularly you’ll know I have a prejudice against store-bought cookies. Just don’t like them. Sue me. So I was left with the conundrum what type of cheesecake should I pair with this amazing crust? I chose to start with Kahlua because, well, yum.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I wanted a quick and easy treat for the holiday. My mind immediately went to truffes. Everyone on Pinterest makes them look so easy, I figured this has to be the way to go. Well there is a whole bunch of information left out of those supposedly easy recipes. After a few weeks of trial and error, I will share with you what I learned.
Well, it’s the time of year for my favorite holiday. For those of you that don’t worship at the altar of Ferrero, February 5th is World Nutella Day. I may never get over the fact that there is a day for the entire world to celebrate what is essentially a spread. But it brings so much joy to so many, I think it’s earned the honor. I know my life is better now that I have discovered Nutella. I’m guessing yours is too.
